Physical Rehabilitation

Physical Rehabilitation describes specialized healthcare dedicated to improving, maintaining or restoring physical strength, cognition and mobility. Typically, rehabilitation helps people gain greater independence after illness, injury or surgery.

 

The type of therapy a client needs is determined by a team of experts, including a physician, in order to determine the best treatment plan to achieve the client’s goals for well-being. Our focus is to get you or your loved one better quickly with a combination of therapies that may include:

 

• Physical therapy for increased strength and mobility,

• Occupational therapy for improved everyday living skills and

• Speech and language therapy for improved communication or swallowing.

Long term Care

Skilled nursing facilities, also called nursing homes, provide a wide range of health and personal care services. Their services focus on medical care more than most assisted living facilities.

 

These services typically include nursing care, 24-hour supervision, three meals a day, and assistance with everyday activities, such as bathing, dressing and eating. Rehabilitation services such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy are also available. Many people stay at a nursing home for a short time after being in the hospital for certain conditions.
After they recover, they go home. Some nursing home patients make the decision to live in the nursing home because they have ongoing physical or mental conditions that require constant care and supervision.
